Seminar: Rhode Island, November 20-22, 2009

The Aikido Association of America is proud to announce an Aikido Seminar hosted by Shoshinkan dojo in Cranston, RI November 20 to November 22, 2009. The training is open to students of any martial art or rank, and from any organization or dojo. Aikido instruction will be provided by Stephen Tatsuo Toyoda Sensei.

Stephen Tatsuo Toyoda, the current President and son of Aikido Association of America founder Fumio Toyoda Shihan, has been studying Aikido since the age of three. After graduating with a degree in Biology from the University of Illinois Champagne-Urbana, Mr. Toyoda has been uchideshi under Y. Kobayashi Shihan in Tokorozawa, Japan. Mr. Toyoda is the dojo cho of Tenshinkan Dojo in Chicago, Illinois and has taught extensively throughout the United States and world.

Seminar: Puerto Rico, August 13 to August 16, 2009

The Aikido Association of America is proud to announce the Shushinkan Dojo 10th Year Anniversary hosted at Shushinkan Dojo from August 13-16, 2009. The event will also celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Bolivar Ramirez Sensei’s training in Martial Arts. The training is open to students of any martial art or rank, and from any organization or dojo. Aikido instruction will be provided by Stephen Tatsuo Toyoda, AAA Executive Director and Dr. Frank Gallo Sensei, AAA Eastern Regional Director.

The Thursday Instructor Seminar will focus on topics, such as Kihon, Henka, and Oyo Waza, as well as, AAA Instructional Methodology. It is open to students 3rd kyu and above.

Seminar: Instructor, July 24 to July 26, 2009

The Aikido Association of America is proud to announce the East Coast Instructor Seminar hosted by Scarsdale Aikido dojo at Shin-Budo dojo from July 24 to July 26, 2009. The training is open to students 3rd kyu and above from any organization or dojo. Aikido instruction will be provided by the AAA Eastern Region Teaching Committee.

Matsuda Sensei is a rokudan (6th degree black belt) and dojo cho of Shishinkan dojo. Gallo Sensei is a yondan (4th degree black belt) and Eastern Regional Director. All of the instructors are AAA National Teaching Committee Members.

Seminar: Instructor, April 30 to May 3, 2009

The Aikido Association of America is proud to announce the National Instructors Seminar hosted by Tenshinkan dojo in Chicago, IL April 30 to May 3, 2009. Aikido instruction will be provided by Toyoda Sensei and the National Teaching Committee. The seminar is eligible for Aikido students 3rd kyu and above, all Aikido black belts, and other martial artists of black belt rank. The program will consist of AAA/AAI test requirements; Aikido teaching methodology; and specialized applications. Various levels of instructor certification will be awarded: Jyoshu, Fukushidoin, Shidoin, and Sensei.

Seminar: Dominican Republic, March 14-15, 2009

The Aikido Association of America is proud to announce a seminar for instructors hosted by Gajuki Dojo in the Dominican Republic March 14 and to March 15, 2009. The training is open to all students of any martial art. Aikido instruction will be provided by Glen Matsuda Sensei (6th degree black belt), an AAA National Teaching Committee Member

Seminar: Methuen Aikido, January 23-25, 2009

Methuen Aikido will be hosting an AAA sponsored event this Jan 23rd – 25th. Various AAA Instructors including Dr. Frank Gallo Sensei (AAA Eastern Regional Director) and Lou Periello Sensei will be leading the training sessions.

The schedule will be: 6 - 9 pm on Friday, 10 am - 1 pm, and 3 - 6 pm on Saturday, and 10 am - 1 pm on Sunday with a dinner on Saturday.
